Assessment path

How a team captain earns ACTC1

  1. 01
    Complete all required learning modules

    Build the foundations of safe leadership, communication, team culture, goal setting, and service.

  2. 02
    Take part in the interactive activities

    Use team scenarios, role play, group discussion, goal work, and leadership reflection to apply each concept.

  3. 03
    Pass the knowledge assessments

    Achieve a minimum score of 80% across the required knowledge checks.

  4. 04
    Complete the Team Captain Leadership Challenge

    Lead a team activity, create a Team Culture Commitment, set personal and team improvement goals, and complete a personal reflection.

  5. 05
    Earn the ACTC1 credential

    ASI reviews the complete record and awards ACTC1 when all requirements and the expected standards of integrity, respect, teamwork, and service are met.

The suggested 10-hour format balances flexible learning with discussion, practice, and a real leadership project.

  • 4 hours of self-paced online learning.
  • 3 hours of instructor-led virtual or in-person workshop learning.
  • 2 hours of interactive group activities.
  • 1 hour devoted to the capstone leadership project.
  • Assessment combines knowledge checks, activities, scenarios, a reflection journal, and the capstone project.
